UCAS Deadline – Are you & your students on track?

With the end of the year approaching, this means one key thing – in that the UCAS applications deadline is fast approaching on Monday 15 January at 18:00 for the majority of undergraduate courses.

It’s important that your learners are on track to meet this deadline, particularly when thinking about the personal statement, which forms one of the key parts of the application. Learners have up to 4000 characters to really convince HE providers on why they wish to apply for their chosen course and why they should be offered a place on the course.

UCAS have been very active on social media via Twitter hosting Q&A sessions aimed at students and advisers to assist with the application process.

Additionally on HECAIL we have a number of helpful articles and resources on the UCAS application process that can be used with your learners. These include the different application routes, the 2017/18 timeline and key deadlines, advice on deferred entry and gap years, how to write a personal statement and information on what happens after the application is submitted.
